  • It may help reduce pregnancy discomfort. Research shows that pregnant women who do weight training (moderate level) experience less pregnancy discomfort and pain, such as poor posture, fatigue, headaches, nausea, insomnia, and back pain.

  • It eases the significant physical (and emotional) efforts of labor and delivery. Giving birth can be compared to running a marathon (some doctors say 3 marathons), so it’s a good idea to be physically prepared.
  • It has a positive impact on the body, both physically and psychologically. It lowers your risk of gestational diabetes, hypertension, constipation, depression, and complications during delivery. It further improves your body awareness and gets your body back into shape faster after childbirth.
  • It improves your self-image of being strong and able to go through with your pregnancy.
