Summer Edition Changing Bag – What to Pack?
For the baby:
- Spare set of clothes in thin, cool materials
- Sun hat with UV protection and ties
- Lightweight blankets in cotton or muslin
- Wet wipes and nappies
- Thin socks – for air-conditioned environments
- Dummy or comfort blanket
For drinks and food:
- Bottle of cold, boiled water (for babies over 6 months)
- Breast milk or formula
- Small sippy cup or baby beaker
- Fruit purée or snack pouch (for babies who have started solids)
For protection and comfort:
- Small parasol or UV blanket
- Pushchair sunshade
- Ice pack in the bag if you're bringing food
Hygiene and care:
- Sunscreen for babies over 6 months
- Hand sanitiser
- Small cooling towel or wet wipe for a refreshing wipe
Tip! Adapt your packing based on how long you'll be out. For shorter walks, the basics will suffice – but for longer outings, it might be worth bringing an extra cool bag or picnic blanket.
