Baby development
My taste buds on the tongue have evolved as well as my sense of touch and feel.
I am now curious and keen to test my new senses, swallowing the amniotic fluid as well as touching my body with my hands. My pigment and my pancreas are formed at this period. The pancreas produces hormones and insulin, which are needed to regulate my sugar intake.
My skin is still thin and translucent since the layers of fat needed to cover my skin are unable to catch up with my growth spurt. Over time that will change and result in me putting on weight and getting a fuller and thicker body. I am now adequately prepared to survive a premature birth even if that would involve some complications. So it is best if I remain in the belly for a while longer!

Still not put on a lot of weight?
Then brace yourself, because beginning now and for the coming few weeks, that is sure to change with the baby set to double its weight. It is therefore important that you eat a balanced diet to ensure you receive all the nutrition your body needs. Your reserves need to be replenished continuously for your energy. When you are pregnant, you should avoid starving yourself or embarking on any diet, as you and your baby need all the nutrition you can get. Be sure to fill the fridge and pantry with healthy foods and snacks for those times when you feel peckish. You may also lose your appetite completely, which is normal, and when that happens, it makes the need for healthy snacks all the more important.
Your growing uterus and the weight of the child also affect your ligaments, which could lead to pain on the sides of the belly. It's not dangerous and usually eases up when you rest.

Feel like you’ve started eating for two? Put on a few pregnancy pounds of your own?
It happens and is a lot more common than you think. Your pregnant partner may have felt unwell and therefore snacking more than usual, which is needed to keep the energy at a steady level. A great tip is to buy home healthy and simpler snacks that are close at hand when the energy runs out. But don’t forget to also buy some good snacking treats as well that you can enjoy!
Considering that your partner may start to feel a little better now, and has not become that heavy yet, you can also take the opportunity to move around together. Exercise has many positive effects on pregnancy such as reduced low back pain, better sleep, reduced nausea, and depression Let the odd be even, simply!
