Dare to depend on othersPhoto: Preggers

When you are pregnant, you might feel both big and strong as well as small and vulnerable at the same time. The body’s changes and the soul’s courageous efforts to keep up with the hormone changes take their toll and it’s important you feel both seen and cared for. Dare to talk about your feelings and your needs, maybe people around you won’t understand unless you tell them. Talk to the people around you and remember that the person you are living with might also feel as lonely as you do. Let your partner in as much as you can, then he will probably feel more motivated to support and take care of you, and be a bigger part of the pregnancy. If you are alone in it, without a partner, talk to a close friend or family member for support and care.

Talk to your partner, friend, mother or siblings and let them spoil you a little bit extra. If you have a partner, don’t forget that the pregnancy involves both of you. If you are alone, remind the people around you that you need some TLC. They might not think of it, but they will be grateful and happy when you ask for help and support. In general, people are happy to be there for each other, if they understand and are aware of the need. Dare to depend on others when you are pregnant. You need all the TLC you can get when you are pregnant.
